Privacy Policy

Privacy policy for TTS For All (ttsforall.com), a free text-to-speech and speech-to-text web service. Questions: info@nomads-it.com.

What we collect

• Submitted text and uploaded audio — held in server memory only during processing, deleted immediately after. Not stored, not logged.
• Generated MP3 audio — served to your browser via a temporary link, then automatically deleted shortly after. We don't keep copies.
• Your IP address — used only for abuse prevention. We store a one-way hashed version in short-lived counters; we do not log your raw IP.
• Standard request metadata (browser type, language, referrer) — kept in short-term server logs, then rotated out.
• Cookies and tracking — see below.

What we don't collect

• No account, name, email, or payment info — there's nothing to sign up for.
• No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking by us.
• No biometric profiles. Voice samples are processed and deleted immediately.

Cookies and third-party services

We use a small number of third-party services. Each is listed here so you know exactly what's happening.

• Cloudflare Turnstile — invisible bot prevention on the Generate button. Sets a session cookie strictly to verify you're human. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• Google Analytics & Google Ads — used to understand how many people visit, which features they use, and the success rate of our marketing. Sets analytics cookies. You can opt out via the cookie banner on first visit, or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser. Google's privacy policy.
• Microsoft Edge TTS — when you generate speech, your text is sent to Microsoft's text-to-speech servers to produce the audio. Your text is not stored by us, but Microsoft's terms apply during processing. Microsoft's privacy statement.
• Google Cloud (hosting) — our service runs on Google Cloud Run, with file storage on Google Cloud Storage and rate-limit counters in Firestore. No customer data crosses regions. Google Cloud's privacy notice.

How long we keep things

• Submitted text and uploaded audio — processed in memory only, deleted within seconds.
• Generated MP3s — kept only long enough for you to download, then auto-deleted. We don't keep copies.
• IP-hash rate-limit counters — auto-expire after a short window.
• Server access logs — short-term only, then rotated out.
• Analytics data — managed by Google per their retention policy.

Your rights

Because we don't store accounts or persistent personal data, most "access / delete" requests are already satisfied by our short retention. If you live in a jurisdiction with stronger rights (GDPR, CCPA, Quebec Bill 25, etc.) and need to confirm what data we hold, request early deletion, opt out of analytics, or file a complaint with your local data-protection authority — email info@nomads-it.com. We'll respond within 7 days.

Children

This service is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

Security

All traffic is HTTPS-only. The service runs on Google Cloud with platform-managed encryption at rest. We follow industry-standard practices and keep the attack surface small by storing as little as possible.

Changes to this policy

We'll update the effective date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage.
